Description
This closeup study of the mighty saguaro, photographed in Arizona, shows a lot of wear and tear through heavy rains and long very hot and dry summers. The saguaro, part of the cactus family only grows in the Sonoran desert of the Southwestern United States and Northern Mexico. It doesn't develop it's first arm, if at all, until it's seventy years of age. You can tell by the many arms of this saguaro it's been around a long time.
